World Orchestra by Grzech Piotrowski

A charismatic artist who travels from the Ural mountains to join Grzech Piotrowski's World Orchestra.

Azat Bikchurin

He is the most renowned musician of his native Republic of Bashkortostan, a federal subject of Russia, located between the river Volga and the Ural mountains. He plays quray, a local type of flute (see photograph below). In 2011 he featured in US TV documental series "The American Experience". On top of a true musical mastery (has to be heard to be believed), Azat never fails to impress with his traditional Bashkir outfit, which constitutes an integral part of his performances. They say watching him play live is nothing short of magic.
